We believe MaggieMay would do well in a family environment with children... Or even easy-going toddlers... She tends to be a bit shy around men until she knows she can trust them, but always has a tail wag and that cute underbite smile to brighten your day...

She's moderate energy and quiet... Likes to cuddle but can occupy herself during the day if someone works... She was a great mom and gets along with other small dogs... In fact, it seems like MaggieMay gets along with just about everyone - human and canine alike... She'd probably enjoy dog parks and walks, but also just chillin' out watching TV with her family as well...

Backstory

We found MaggieMay and her three pups in a high-kill shelter... Despite having pups by her side, MaggieMay was so friendly and sweet... And ya gotta love that cute little underbite she has as well!...

MaggieMay is listed as a Chihuahua but she exhibits few of the Chi traits, nor is she is small... She's more of a medium-sized pooch of an undefined breed... As you can see in the photo below, she's twice the size of a usual Chihuahua (in this case, Yukon)...

Quiet, MaggieMay is not a 'yapper' or barker... Now that her puppies are weaned, she's mellowed out even more...

MaggieMay weighs about 12 pounds and is approximately 2 years old.... She had a litter of three pups the 9th of December (2009) we have named Peter, Paul and Mary... Currently (1/25/10) the puppies have been weaned and we are waiting for MaggieMay to totally recover before getting her spayed which will probably be the first or second week of February. MaggieMay is up to date on her shots and will be micro-chipped and licensed for the County of Ventura before she is adopted.
